Equifax's Global Security Organization is made up of a small group of dedicated Global Internal and Fraud Investigators. This position provides investigative services to Equifax in response to complaints of violations of regulatory mandates; internal company policies, ethics violations as well as federal, state, and local laws; potentially committed by employees, contractors, and vendors. The team member will also perform investigations to identify and mitigate exposures which could compromise the company's assets, brand or reputation. The role will also involve the usage of external resources for intelligence; interface with law enforcement and investigations triage. All responsibilities and activities undertaken by the investigator will be executed in a confidential and professional manner.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for functions related to the prevention, identification and resolution of potentially fraudulent/criminal activity
  • Conduct investigations relating to external exposure of Equifax data
  • Maintains the highest level of integrity, courtesy, respect, and professionalism while interacting with clients, internal business partners and law enforcement
  • Stays current with best practices in investigations and technology
  • Leads security/fraud related projects and training as identified

What experience you need 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of investigation experience
  • 3+ years of experience with a proven track record of effectively conducting fraud-related investigations
  • 1+ years of experience in creating and managing standards, policies, and processes
  • 3+ years of experience establishing a network of law enforcement and industry security contacts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google Suite
  • Recognized fraud and / or compliance related training or certifications (Ex: ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner; IAFCI Training, ASIS)
