Project Overview

We are supporting a client who is undertaking significant software development initiatives. This complex program involves coordinating cross-functional technical teams, managing multiple workstreams, and ensuring successful delivery of software solutions that meet business objectives while maintaining quality standards and timelines.

The initiative encompasses application design and architecture, full-stack development, AI development, quality assurance, deployment strategies, and continuous improvement. A core aspect of this role is to serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and successful project outcomes.

Role Overview

This Senior Project Manager will oversee complex software development programs, focusing on end-to-end delivery of technical solutions from design through deployment. This is a full-time, remote role that will collaborate closely with client-side engineering leaders, product owners, and business stakeholders to capture requirements, refine project scope, and ensure seamless execution. The PM will directly oversee the design, development, and overall delivery of the embedded Tech9 team and integrate deeply with the client's product development resources.

The ideal candidate will bring structure, strong cross-functional leadership, Scrum expertise, and a high level of technical literacy across software development lifecycles and modern development practices—though hands-on coding work is not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end software development projects, from initial design through deployment and post-launch support.
• Partner with solution architects, technical leads, and engineers to gather detailed requirements and translate them into well-defined project scopes and technical specifications.
• Coordinate across design, development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure aligned implementation and delivery.
• Meticulously manage project timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and foster continuous improvement practices across the full delivery team.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation for all moving parts of the ongoing projects.
• Monitor project health and adjust delivery plans to maintain velocity and accountability.
• Report progress and surface risks proactively to client stakeholders.
• Take full responsibility for project outcomes with an extreme ownership mindset.

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing technical projects involving software delivery, application development, platform implementations, or systems integration.
• Demonstrated expertise in coordinating software development teams across design, development, and deployment phases.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
• Experience with modern development practices including CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with various AI tools and how businesses and teams can use them to automate workflows and increase productivity.
• Strong project documentation, knowledge capture, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience writing user stories and translating business and user needs into actionable development requirements.
• Ability to work independently, balance priorities, and lead in high-pressure environments.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience supporting complex, multi-tiered software architectures and technical integrations.
• Background in coordinating technical teams across different time zones and geographies.
• Prior experience in client-facing roles with high levels of ambiguity.
• Familiarity with cyber security and compliance considerations, and global team coordination.
• Experience managing sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning activities.
• Exposure to various technology stacks and frameworks (e.g., React, , .NET, Java, Python, cloud platforms like AWS or Azure).
