FreeBalance is seeking candidates to join a project in Costa Rica as a Translator. The ideal candidate must have proven experience providing high-quality translation and interpretation services in technical, governmental, or financial-sector environments. You will work directly with the implementation team, supporting communication, documentation, and alignment between local stakeholders and the project team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate Spanish-English translation and interpretation for meetings, trainings, and project discussions.
  • Translate technical and functional documents, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Act as the communication bridge between the international implementation team and Costa Rican stakeholders.
  • Support understanding of local terminology, cultural context, and project requirements.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing bilingual materials such as presentations, user guides, and reports.
  • Ensure consistent terminology and maintain confidentiality across all project communications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in English–Spanish translation and interpretation, ideally in technical or project environments.
  • Strong ability to translate technical documents with accuracy and clarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience supporting international teams and facilitating cross-cultural communication.
  • High level of professionalism, organization, and confidentiality in all project interactions.
