We help hundreds of clients gather survey data from decision makers all around the world. Our clients then use these insights to make informed investment decisions into potential acquisition targets, complementing expert calls.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, with offices in the US and France, we have been redefining the survey industry with transparency and traceability. We are the only survey provider able to provide follow up calls, combining qualitative and quantitative insights.
The role
We're looking for a high energy, self-starter and detail-oriented Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for our US-based private equity and consulting clients. These clients have been the cornerstone of our revenue and growth. In this role, you'll guide clients through the entire lifecycle of their survey-based projects, from proposal development through project delivery communications, ensuring clear communication, accurate scoping, and seamless coordination with our internal teams in the high-stakes world of M&A due diligence.
This is not an operations/delivery role, but a strategic client-facing position where you'll own communication, expectation-setting, and commercial alignment while helping clients get the insights, they need to make informed investment decisions. Although this is not a sales position, you will be expected to identify growth opportunities within your existing accounts and support the expansion of ongoing relationships.
What you'll do
Client relationship & account growth
- Serve as the trusted primary point of contact for a portfolio of PE and consulting clients.
- Manage relationships across multiple stakeholders and offices within each account.
- Understand client priorities, upcoming deal pipelines, and ongoing needs.
- Build strong, long-term partnerships that drive repeat business.
Proposal & commercial management
- Draft tailored Statements of Work (SOWs), project scopes, and proposals.
- Lead discussions on timelines, methodologies, budget parameters, and commercial terms.
- Ensure agreements accurately reflect client expectations and internal capabilities.
Project communication & coordination
- Act as the communication bridge between clients and internal teams (Contributor & QA).
- Translate client needs into clear instructions for internal stakeholders.
- Track project progress end-to-end from a client-relationship standpoint to ensure smooth execution.
- Provide timely updates on fielding progress, timelines, risks, and scope changes.
- Ensure internal teams have the context they need to deliver high-quality outputs.
Strategic account management
- Understand each client's business model, deal cycle, and diligence approach.
- Anticipate needs based on M&A activity and proactively support upcoming projects.
- Position GrapeData's capabilities in the broader context of their due diligence work.
- Contribute to account planning, retention, and growth within existing relationships.
Required qualifications
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Strong proactive approach to client follow-ups, feedback gathering, and internal timeline alignment.
- Ability to learn and understand the full internal survey process (from scoping to QA).
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years in account management, customer success, client service, or commercial roles.
- Experience working with US clients or multinational stakeholders.
- Background in consulting, research, tech-enabled services, or professional services.
- Familiarity with survey research, commercial due diligence, or M&A environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
