GFS is seeking an experienced FP&A Analyst II to support our FP&A team. The FP&A Analyst II will perform business specific Financial Planning & Analysis activities. The person will work with business partners on delivering reporting and financial analysis. Helping the businesses in the decision making process, supporting them by providing data analysis and business insight.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, and will be passionate about process improvement and automation. This person will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, while demonstrating strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
Key job responsibilities
• Developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics and goals
• Perform cost and headcount forecasting
• Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews on a timely manner
• Facilitate the business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items
• Perform ad-hoc business and financial analyses
• Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
- -5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
- -5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs).
- -5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
- -5+ years participating in process improvements, automation and analysis experience.
- -Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
- -Advanced written and oral English communication skills.
- -Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- -Ability to effectively manage stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
