Senior Specialist, Resource Management

Overview:
West Monroe is looking for a Senior Specialist in Resource Management to manage staffing needs within our practices. You will coordinate resource requests by considering client needs, staff availability, skills, and preferences, all while following our staffing guidelines and considering equity and fairness. You'll work hands on with leadership to make strategic staffing decisions and escalate issues when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leadership, project teams, and other resource managers to make staffing decisions and communicate them effectively
• Ensure data accuracy related to staffing across multiple disparate systems
• Report on staffing metrics like utilization, open roles, opportunities to rotate roles on long-term engagements, etc., and provide those reports to leadership to help manage the business and plan future resource needs
• Maintain relationships with resources to understand their goals and preferences while balancing the needs of the business and our clients
• Work with career advisors and project managers to understand skills and development needs, offering our resources the ability to upskill
• Monitor employee engagement and work with Talent Management as needed
• Develop strategies for transitioning staff on and off long-term projects smoothly
• Communicate staffing decisions with a focus on fairness and employee satisfaction
• Support financial goals through effective and efficient resource assignments and a proactive lens on monitoring revenue and utilization
• Collaborate with other resource managers on cross-practice staffing and Shared Services on internal projects
• Manage the bench program to keep non-billable/project staff engaged and learning

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in business, HR, operations, or professional services.
• Commitment to diversity and openness to new perspectives
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Strong client focus and dedication to continuous improvement
• Ability to network and build relationships with internal stakeholders
• Interest and or willingness to learn intermediate Excel and data analytics skills
