About the Role

Junto AI is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team building a custom Learning Management System (LMS) for a client, a K-12 education technology company serving school districts in Texas and Florida. You will work on a production-grade platform that handles student data, institutional authentication, and compliance requirements for the education sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain full-stack features using 14 (App Router), TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
  • Implement core LMS functionality including course management, user administration, and progress tracking
  • Build integrations with education platforms (Clever, ClassLink, Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology)
  • Collaborate with the technical lead on architecture decisions and code reviews
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established patterns
  • Participate in weekly sync meetings and provide technical input on requirements
  • Support QA efforts and resolve issues identified during testing

Requirements

  • 5+ years
    of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years
    experience with and TypeScript
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL and ORM tools (Prisma preferred)
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and handling authentication/authorization
  • Familiarity with cloud services (GCP, AWS, or Vercel)
  • Understanding of security best practices (input validation, CSRF, XSS prevention)
  • Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in EdTech or building LMS platforms
  • Experience with LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) integrations
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and SSO implementations
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures
  • Knowledge of FERPA compliance or handling sensitive student data
