What makes this role excitingThe Platform Operations Engineer is a technical specialist responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of CloudPay's technology platform. This role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, reliability, and security of the platform, as well as its underlying infrastructure and applications. The Platform Operations Engineer will work collaboratively with other platform engineers, software developers, and analysts to maintain a stable and efficient platform environment.Main responsibilities- Provision and maintain secure cloud infrastructure
- Partner with scrum teams to deliver software releases
- Build and manage secure automated systems
- Maintain complete and comprehensive documentation
- Manage logging, monitoring and alerting systems
- Support incidents as they occur and work with teams on preventing future incidents
- Work closely with engineers across all teams in different parts of the world
- Solid experience as Dev Ops or a similar role
- Strong experience with the following technologies: Terraform and AWS, Linux, BASH scripting
- Containerisation and microservice architecture
- A good understanding of the following concepts and standard practices: GitOps and ITIL, Networking; VPNs, Transit Gateways, routing, DNS, firewalls
- Experience working with complex systems
- Good documentation and communications skills
- Keen sense of ownership, drive and delivery
- Good Team work skills and experience
- Desirable Experience in one or some of the following: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Foreman, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat
