Our Team provides managed services and proactive and reactive support to our global customers. We utilize tools, process and knowledge to integrate and maintain Akamai security, media, and performance solutions for our clients. We collaborate to solve problems, innovate to provide creative solutions and work to continuously improve for our customers and our team.

Become a trusted advisor

As a Security Consultant II, you'll be the security services contact, ensuring the integration and support of customers. Acting as a trusted consultant, you'll learn and implement creative solutions to help customers leverage Akamai's products.

As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for:

Being the central point of contact for customers and leading the integrated account team delivering customer successCollaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and tuning solutions to meet client needsParticipating on internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving our methodology and quality of solution deliveryPartnering with the business to review and ensure integration efficiency, high quality service and keep customers engagedIdentifying service enhancements and potential problems to ensure continuous improvements to quality of customer service deliveryCommunicating with internal, external customers and partners to share information and deliverables

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field or its equivalentDemonstrate experience in a customer-facing role within the information technology industryShow understanding of working with network technologies, web security or media related technologies, methodologies and/or architecturesDemonstrate experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSLDemonstrate experience in delivering technical projects with an ability to manage multiple prioritiesHave achieved or be interested in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or others
