Job Description
We're looking for an
Accountant
to join Procore's Accounting team. In this role, you'll perform daily accounting tasks, account analysis, and month-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The primary goal of this role is to support the Accounting team through high-quality financial analysis, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting and is a hybrid role based in our Heredia, Costa Rica office (3 days in-office, 2 days from home). We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

• Support daily and monthly accounting functions to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Prepare general ledger entries, maintain records and files, and gather information for financial statement preparation.
• Provide accounting support for corporate transactions and internal reporting needs.
• Analyze assigned areas and present findings to management, explaining account fluctuations and unusual transactions.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
• Research, analyze, and interpret financial data to answer accounting and business questions.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and relevant departments.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and assist with external audit requests.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting required.
• Experience in a large accounting firm and/or corporate industry environment preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling large volumes of financial data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with accounting and business software systems.
