Sr. Net Developer

QAT Global, a 25+ years IT consulting firm based in the US, is seeking a highly-skilled
Sr. .Net Developer
with the ability to communicate well in English. This position will work directly with the customer located in the US and with development teams in our US, Costa Rica, and Brazil locations.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve core platform services and reference implementations in .NET/Python, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Build and document APIs (REST/OData, OpenAPI/Swagger), implement orchestration, and ensure secure integration patterns (idempotency, retries, circuit breakers).
• Develop shared tools and services exposed as APIs and (where applicable) agent-consumable tools using protocols such as A2A/MCP.
• Implement cloud solutions on Azure/AWS, using App Services/Functions, API Management, Service Bus/Event Hub/Grid, and Logic Apps; automate with Terraform and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Integrate and optimize data stores, including SQL Server/PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure AI Search; handle schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Embed security and governance, including OAuth2/OIDC with Azure AD/Entra ID, secrets management, encryption standards, auditability, and cost controls.
• Collaborate with architects and product teams to turn standards into practical designs; participate in code/design reviews and agile delivery.
• Run focused pilots/PoCs (including AI/RAG where relevant) to assess feasibility, performance, and cost, and provide clear recommendations.
• Apply frameworks and practices for AIOps, LLMOps, and MLOps, contributing to observability, version control, and continuous improvement of AI models and pipelines.
• Maintain clear design documentation (ADRs, diagrams) and contribute to the architectural repository for transparency and reuse.

Required Experience

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas (minimum
five years total

two years specialized in Cloud architecture
):

Programming & DevOps

• Proficiency in .NET (C#) and Python, with strong programming fundamentals, software design patterns, clean architecture, and integration patterns; comfortable building production-grade services and APIs (REST/OData, JSON/XML) and documenting them with Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience working with secure APIs, including implementation of OAuth2/OIDC, input validation, secrets management, and robust testing practices (unit/integration), emphasizing performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Experience working with DevOps practices, including CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred), branching and code review workflows, artifact/versioning strategies, observability (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Datadog), and basic networking.
• Experience working with Container technologies (Docker, AWS ECS, Azure Container Apps) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, or similar) for repeatable, auditable environments.
• Familiarity with modern architectural styles, including microservices, event-driven design, domain-driven design, and use of messaging/queues for resilient integrations.
• Soft skills: excellent documentation (writing and diagramming), clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborative delivery in Agile/Scrum teams.

Cloud

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure or AWS, designing and operating cost-conscious, scalable, and secure solutions; hands-on with Azure App Services/Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hub/Grid, Logic Apps, and Storage Accounts (or AWS equivalents).
• Experience working with authentication and directory services, including Azure AD/Entra ID, and familiarity with encryption standards and governance considerations in cloud environments.

Data

• Proficiency with SQL and data access, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and ORMs across SQL Server/PostgreSQL; working knowledge of NoSQL and search technologies (e.g., Cosmos DB, Azure AI Search).
• Working knowledge of data processing pipelines, ETL/ELT concepts. Knowledge of data processing libraries is a plus (Pandas, Polars, Pyspark, etc.).

Applied AI (nice to have)

• Exposure to Applied AI/GenAI application, including integrating LLMs, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval patterns (RAG/GraphRAG), with awareness of evaluation for quality, latency, and cost; familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph is a plus.
• Working experience with AI integration standards (MCP, A2A, etc.) is a plus.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Preferred Experience

• BS/MS in Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
