Job Description
The Opex Engineer will be responsible for leading manufacturing process improvements incorporating time-saving suggestions, implementing productivity improvement processes, and sustaining efficiencies through the lean six sigma program, with the goal of ensuring optimal customer satisfaction, program efficiency, and financial effectiveness. This position also supports manufacturing of products for medical devices with work including operational systems development, time studies, process flow analysis, lines balancing, layout design, operational needs and process efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Time Studies development and analysis.
- Layout Improvements proposal design and execution.
- Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing.
- Create and present technical reports.
- Lead and/or support 5S and Lean initiatives tasks.
- Manage capacity enhancement
- Process improvements and innovative projects.
- Process data Analyst.
- Creating infrastructure for developing projects.
- Support tasks in improvement projects for the facility.
- Perform other duties and tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education
- BS Degree in Industrial engineering or related field.
- Capable to be self-taught on engineering or technology tools if needed.
- Green Belt or related certification is a plus.
- SolidWorks / AutoCAD or related certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva). For excel is required advanced level.
- English Level Intermediate / advanced.
Experience:
- 1+ years of related work expertise is a plus.
- Experience in the manufacturing process of medical devices is a plus.
- Experience supporting projects is a plus.
- Knowledge in an ERP system (D365) is a plus.
