As part of the CAD Group, the CAD Technician will work as part of a multi-national team to produce high-quality waterfront structural designs for cargo and cruise terminals, military installations, marinas, wharfs, bulkheads, and privately-owned projects.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Develop 3D Revit models of structures, prepare construction drawings, and quantity take-offs
- Coordinate development of models between multi-disciplines including but not limited to structural, MEP, and architectural
- Accurately create drawings using company standards
- Manage production of engineering drawing packages and ensure a high-quality product
- Collaborate with consultants and other Moffatt & Nichol offices to ensure efficient data sharing
- Assist in providing training/mentoring as needed
- Perform site visits as needed
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (across multiple time zones) and to travel as and when required

Qualifications:
- Associates degree in related discipline
- 6+ years in Revit design with structural focus. Waterfront structural strongly preferred
- AutoCAD design experience is preferred
- Ability to effectively manage Revit drawing production
- Proven capacity to develop new Revit families and evaluate/update existing families
- Understanding and application of CAD/BIM standards
- Good understanding of project workflows
- Good numeracy, geometry, and computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Possess good organization and problem-solving and with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to multi‐task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team across multiple locations and time zones
- Must meet local employment eligibility and background screening requirements in Brazil
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST
Working conditions:
Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
