**FUNCTION**: GBS

**LOCATION**:Heredia, Costa Rica

**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

This role is part of the finance operations role in BAT Business Services (GBS).

The role is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient finance transactional processes. Delivers the service to meet SLAs and KPIs and to ensure a positive Voice of Customer feedback.

**Reports to**:Global Data Quality Manager

**Reporting Level**:No direct reports

**Geographic Scope**:Regional

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Manage multiple customer accounts for delinquency and debt collection efforts and send out past-due notices for delinquent accounts or for missed settlement payments.
- Report address changes and maintain files regarding debtors for correct and current contact information
- Ensure compliance with all Global Collection policies and procedures with emphasis to address any local specifics and requirements as needed.
- Developing and maintaining proactive working relationships with the sales and other finance teams and achieving individual monthly cash targets
- Coordinating customer queries with the relevant departments for dispute resolutions and ensuring Customer ledgers are clean by minimizing aged items, disputes, and unmatched credits.
- Proactive Customer relationship building, continually seeking out ways to improve customer satisfaction, communication & query resolution.
- Negotiate Payments Plans, Solutions & Reconciliations with Risk Assessment and ensure compliance with collections policies and procedures.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE**
- 2 to 4 years of collections experience in an international environment (cash operations and credit knowledge can be an asset)
- Assertiveness and the ability to use own initiative and judgment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain good relationships both internally and externally
- Should have experience and knowledge in Accounts Receivable (O2C) in the Business to Business space.
- Be a team player to achieve departmental targets
- Should have an eye for details and work in sync with global processes.

**BENEFICIAL**
- Experience in SAP and excellent MS Excel skills will be desirable.
