The disaster recovery (DR) Analyst is responsible for implementing, monitoring and reporting on the enterprise disaster recovery program for Sysco Foods. The objective of this program is to assist in building resilience into and supporting recovery plans for systems following the occurrence of an IT outage or major disasters, such as fires, earthquakes, floods, biochemical attacks and pandemics that result in the partial or complete disruption of business operations. The recovery Analyst 's role is primarily technical, but communication skills needed to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and other recovery team members are also required. A successful recovery Analyst will be able to translate business recovery plans into actionable test scripts under the direction of more senior team members. direction of more senior team members.

**Essential Functions**:

- Assist with the design and implementation of Sysco enterprise-wide resilience and IT DRM programs, including policies, maturity models, methodologies, sourcing strategies, plans, metrics and scorecards for all components of the program.
- Coordinate, assess and communicate resilience and IT DR Program requirements and objectives associated with the current IT infrastructure environment, and participate in new activities with appropriate technology groups, resulting in recommendations to enable timely, effective decisions regarding IT infrastructure disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Serve as an active participant in all IT DR test activities. The person who fills this position is expected to collaborate with business unit staff and key IT staff members for the purpose of planning, directing, controlling and maintaining an effective IT DR Program testing plan.
- Assist with the execution of the IT DR plan(s) when a business or IT operations disruption occurs, in coordination with other members of the IT DR Program team.
- Perform all departmental administrative activities, including staff meeting attendance, monthly status reporting, expense processing, documentation and other activities, as assigned, in a timely fashion.
- The IT DR Analyst must be prepared to be on call at any time and will also be periodically expected to work off-hours to support disaster recovery test activities.
- Adhering to privacy; confidential, proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e. SOC )

**Requirements**:

- 3 experience in supporting disaster recovery as well as disaster recovery plan testing.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of current IT DR planning techniques and technologies, as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses.
- Strong oral communication and written communication skills
- Experience in structured frameworks, methodologies and operating models (i.e. BCM, DRM, ITIL, NIST)
- Working knowledge of data and voice telecommunications to assist in the preparation of related recovery procedures. [Potentially citing specific technologies used by the company here, for example, VMware SRM, EMC SRDF, Oracle Data Guard, etc.]
- Business Continuity certification (i.e BCI, CBCP, MBCP). Prefered
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Smartsheets or equivalent
- Experience with BCM and/or recovery tools and methodologies.
- Advanced English (B2+)
