**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Teradyne is a global Semiconductor & Test Technology company delivering innovative solutions for development and production testing challenges. We are looking for a Process Test Development Engineer to join a group of dedicated, enthusiastic, energetic team players to develop, qualify, and transfer manufacturing test process for Teradyne’s ATE Platforms.
Seeking an Entry Level Engineer who’s motivated and passionate in Product and Process development, qualifying and releasing next generation Semi-Test instrumentation (Digital, AC/DC & RF) as well as Platform Integration, Test and Qualification into High Volume Manufacturing.
The ability to focus on the task at hand, follow-through on the prescribed plan and the ability to be flexible and think under pressure are all key to this role. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who have a strong desire to learn and poses a team player attitude.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, Develop and Release of manufacturing and test strategies and processes from module to system level aligned with technology and manufacturing flow of Teradyne’s ATE Business (Design-for-Test)
- Analyzes the reliability and capability of products, test fixtures, software, and systems, using statistical techniques.
- Evaluate prototypes and finished products for functionality and conformance to design and manufacturing specifications
- Review/Assess manufacturing process capability and identify opportunities or enhancements
- Test products throughout the design process, troubleshoot any potential problems to a Root Cause and a Corrective Action
- Fine-tuning designs, manufacturing, and acceptance test processes until they are ready for production
- Review and approve design documents ensuring functional test and debug requirements are maintained (system requirements, schematics, calibration strategies, software & hardware descriptions, etc.)
- Provide training to production teams and transfer of new products to volume manufacturing. (Product and Processes)
- Provides technical support to Pilot Line & Production facilities for transfer qualifications
- Member of the NPI Project Core team
**Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Entry Level to 3 Years working in semi-test or similar industry.
- Experienced with common measurement instruments (Digital Oscilloscopes, DMM’s etc.)
- Experienced with common RF measurement instruments a Plus (Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum analyzers, Signal generators, etc.)
- Experience in troubleshooting of electrical assemblies/PCBA’s down to component level.
- Demonstrated ability to read and decipher electrical schematics, data sheets and specification documents.
- Systems Integration, Debug and Test (a plus)
- Experience with measurement techniques and process controls for yield analysis, statistics CP/CPK, and normal distributions.
- Team leadership (a plus) and technical capability to deliver test process on time supporting product specification as well as production goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Familiarity with FMEA and structured problem solving, is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Scripting language (Perl, Python, etc.) Visual Basic / C#.NET is a plus.
Ability for domestic or international travel (required)
