You will join our Central IT (CIT) organization reporting to the Vice President of Cloud Architecture.

The cloud architecture team works in concert with our CIT teams - cloud engineering, security, operations, and program management and Lines of Business engineering teams in an agile fashion.

In This Role, You Can Expect To
- Improve Moody’s foundational capabilities on the cloud and provide a modern, secure, reliable, and cost-effective platform for our engineering teams
- Develop reference architectures, reference solutions, and patterns to guide engineering teams on new technology and concepts
- Be a technical mentor and guide to engineering teams across the organization
- Stay abreast of technology changes, investigate and prove out new concepts, and lead the adoption of modern services and architectures
- Bring passion, curiosity, and work with others to foster ideas and produce creative solutions to difficult problems while making smart choices balancing architecture and delivery
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or relevant experience
- At least 10+ years of total IT experience with 3+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer/Architect role
- Hands-on knowledge of a variety of modern AWS services including: IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, EventBridge, CloudFormation, and other core services including: EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3
- Experience designing and implementing cloud native infrastructure, landing zones, network and DNS, infrastructure automation, IAM and least privilege principles, configuration management, & data and storage solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate architecture tradeoffs, collaborate with engineering teams, and build strong partnerships across the organization
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC), agile/iterative methodologies, DevSecOps practices and tools, & Continuous integration and deployment practices
- Forward thinking and strategic mindset to be able to connect advancement in technology to organization needs and develop a pathway for teams to leverage them
- Self-starter that believes in continuous learning and continuous self-improvement

Preferred Qualifications
- Computer Science, Engineering, or Math background preferred
- Relevant certification in public cloud services (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect -Professional, etc.)
