This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

As an Aruba Network Solution Quality Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work with a group of talented engineers dedicated to guarantee the highest level of quality on every one of our networking products and solutions.

**In a typical day as a Network Solution Quality Engineer you would**:

- Design, build and maintain a Network Solution Test Environment for quality validation of new technologies/solutions.
- Design and execute Test Plans that guarantee the correct implementation of solutions, protocols, features and new hardware platforms.
- Report and communicate problems found on software or hardware. Work with software and hardware teams to have these resolved.
- Evaluate design and implementation decisions for networking solutions and functionalities on new feature and/or networking devices.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Automate test plans to enable faster quality regressions.

- Bachelor - Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Advanced English level.
- 4-6 years of experience in related field.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals with hands on experience with designing, deploying and supporting production network infrastructure
- Experience in troubleshooting & fixing networking service issues
- Knowledge of network protocols and algorithms (L2, IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, MPLS, VRF, etc)
- Hands on experience with Linux Operating Systems

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Experience supporting computing platforms/solutions including SAN/NAS arrays, virtualization, load balancing and high availability
- Hands on experience with VMWare vSphere and Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with cloud platforms/technologies - AWS, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Experience with network services and tools such as DHCP, Active Directory, Certification Authorities, iptables, RADIUS, vulnerability scanners, packet generators and analyzers.
- Knowledge of data storage protocols including CIFS, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, ROCE, and NFS
- Experience with firewall implementations (layering, DMZ, SNAT/DNAT)
- Experience on Software testing: test strategy, test design, test planning, test execution, test reporting
- Experience on Software testing techniques: software stress, performance, scalability, security, longevity, functional/feature testing, regression.
- Experience in Test Automation using scripting languages such as, Python, Perl, Tcl/Expect, PHP/MYSQL
- Network programmability and automation using tools like Ansible, Chef and Puppet
