Our Team provides managed services and proactive and reactive support to our global customers. We utilize tools, process and knowledge to integrate and maintain Akamai security, media, and performance solutions for our clients. As a Security Architect, you will turn compliance guidelines into business requirements. You will also shape tech specs and frameworks for use by internal teams and external assessors. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, you'll learn how Akamai's web-scale systems work. Guiding the company to efficiently meet our security obligations.

As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

- Owning the technical aspects of security integrations from creating/updating configurations, testing, debugging, and deployment
- Being a proactive technical consultant for our customers, delivering value with every engagement
- Analyzing customer web traffic. Customizing Akamai security solutions to address potential threats and vulnerabilities for our Web Security Business Unit
- Working with Akamais Prolexic DDoS service to help mitigate DDoS attacks for our costumers
- Participating in training initiatives to develop your skills, reviewing/improving the security posture of our existing/new products
- Monitoring current security standards and monitoring advancements in information security technologies to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance
**Do what you love**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
- Possess a deep understanding and knowledge of protocols such as DNS and HTTP/HTTPS
- Ability to demonstrate understading of DDoS and associated attack vectors
- Have experience with industry compliance and security standards including PCI and GDPR
Be able to review system designs, identify security risks and suggest ways to mitigate these risks
- Be a highly organized self-starter comfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content in English
