The Costa Rica Logistics Transportation Student Worker will report into the Costa Rica Transportation manager and will support activities for managing all types of Inbound shipments into and out from Costa Rica Site (domestic and international). The role will support key activities related to import and movement of raw materials, carriers execution follow up and explore options for moving the cargo. The person in the role might act as the primary contact point for the operations network like, buyers or other logistics members to ensure the Transportation Operation requirements are always fulfilled.

The shipment types include (but are not limited to):

- Semi-finished goods (i.e. assembled units from other sites or external manufacturers),
- Finished Goods (revenue shipments to customers or replenishment to global hubs/cross-docks/consignment inventory points),
- New or re-used Capital Equipment (inbound/outbound),
- Direct and indirect materials, spares, components and other accessories or goods to support Test and Finish or warehouse operations.

This role will require coordination/calibration with Transportation groups across countries, Intel Transportation Procurement group, Quality partners and Corporate and Site security.

The Logistics transportation Student Worker will support Intel management in the assessment of freight suppliers' performance in accordance with established operational indicators, manage freight spends, ensure compliance to customs/trade and any/all other local or cross-border government regulatory requirements. The Logistics transportation Student Worker will be required to collaborate closely with stakeholders, supply chain partners and others in driving and executing This role will also require close coordination and collaboration with Suppliers' on-site personnel as appropriate, and will be expected to role model Intel's values and Intel culture to employees at all times.
- Versatility and adaptability, identifying business opportunities, working independently to create and execute plans of action, and the ability to influence and deliver results in a dynamic, cross functional, global, team-oriented environment.
- Strong presentation skills required to create, deliver and influence stakeholders.
- Solid analytical skills are required in identifying, analyzing and root-causing and driving appropriate action plans.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Active student of bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, industrial production, business administration, customs administration, international commerce, or related field.
- 75% of courses approved.
- Intermediate Excel experience.
- Intermediate to advanced English Level.
- Unrestricted Costa Rican Work Permit.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Lean, Six Sigma, or any other improvement methodology knowledge/experience.
- Previous experience with Incoterms / IHATA/ Chemicals import regulation.
- Previous SAP experience.
- Willing to work 30+ hours.

**Work Model for this Role**

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
