**About the position**:
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of FACILITY MANAGER to join our team:
**Location**: Heredia, Costa Rica.

**Work schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (time availability to attend emergencies).

**Contract Type**: Open-ended / Indefinite-term.

**Job Purpose**:
As the facilities manager, you’ll be working frequently with the client and users, so you will need to build strong relationships with them. Likewise, you will need to be proactive and engaging; and make sure that the client’ expectations are met each and every time. You will also be the go-to person for any facilities-related concerns.

**Responsibilities**:
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Support the Area Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project
Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client.
Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting appropriate for the client.
Oversee the development and management of the capital and expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client representative

PROGRAM ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT
Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and producers procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client.
Support the Area Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project
Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis
Assist with the development and implement the annual management plan for the buildings within the area.

**Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related fields.
3 years’ experience in facilities, property management, hospitality or related fields.
Knowledge of local occupational health and safety requirements, critical facilities and vendor management for specialized services is advantageous.
Understanding of basic technical aspects of property (computer room air-conditioning, chiller system, fire protection system, mechanical & electrical system) is advantageous.
Proficiency in a range of information technology tools and platforms.
Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with little supervision and effectively deal with stressful situations.
Self-motivated; confident, energetic and flexible.
Proficient in MS Office, and MS Share Point
Supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary.
