**Job Description**:

- We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our team and help cultivate our scaling AI solutions team. As an AI Engineer, you will be working on solutions that incorporate internal ML / NLP models, foundational and LLM models, and semantic search that expand our AI footprint on the Datasite Platform.

This is a hybrid role in Heredia, Costa Rica. Expectation is occasional (currently 1x a week) in office work with flex scheduling and split-time available to avoid traffic. Datasite is willing to be flexible with employees to find the best solution for collaboration and work-life balance.

Main Responsibilities:
Develop prompt templates, orchestration chains, and agents using Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP techniques.-
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to develop AI-enabled products and features.-
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical work by writing clean code and implementing sufficient tests.-
- Architect and design scalable and maintainable solutions utilizing Python-
- Work closely with technical leadership to plan and prioritize software development projects.**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience in mathematics, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, computer science
- 3+ years experience building services in Python (or similar object-oriented programming languages) and working with projects that follow the Software Development Lifecycle
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for clear communication and collaboration.
- Passion for Agile methodology with the flexibility to think outside the scrum. You can think on your feet, collaborate with your team and others, and take ownership of your work.

- Excellent communication skills. This role involves working with a team that innovates together. You will need to listen, engage, and present to external teams and senior project managers confidently.
