Product Security Project Coordinator

As a Product Security Project Coordinator, you will be a member of our Global Cybersecurity team and play an important role in continuing to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of Emerson Commercial and Residential Solutions’ products.
- You will work with software engineering teams and product owners to identify, capture, escalate, and remediate security vulnerabilities found in Emerson products.
- You will help define the best practices for secure development and work with product teams to implement processes and tools to support the business.
- You will educate teams on threat modeling and help review their threat models findings.
- You will help interpret and drive to closure results of static code analyzers, dynamic code testing, penetration tests, etc.
- Responsibilities- Responsible for basic support of product security programs, projects, and initiatives
- Lead small to medium initiatives to ensure timely execution and completion
- Work with business units or appropriate teams to ensure implementation of security policies, processes, and procedures ensuring our products remain secure
- Actively participate in Product Security Incident Response activities
- Recommend and participate in activities that prevent repeated vulnerability assessment findings
- Provide support for projects and technical exchange meetings
- Respond to and support resolution of security tools and security engagement outputs
- Participate in Threat Models and Penetration Testing activitie
Required Skills - External
- **Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- 1 year of security experience
- Knowledgeable of common security controls and processes like secure development, system hardening, secure boot, risk assessments, and threat modeling
- Experience with vulnerability frameworks (OWASP, etc.)
- Familiar with IoT security, embedded security, or cloud security
- Communicates effectively - Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and align
- Customer Focus and eager to learn
- SANS GIAC, C|EH, Net+, Sec+ or other industry certifications preferred.
