- The R2R FA Lead Associate is responsible for the supervision and control of the general accounting area, for the integrity and accuracy of the Fixed Asset and Leasing accounts and the preparation of reports as required by global approvers, local Controllers or Management. He/she will lead the Leasing accounting process for the team across Americas and International Markets.
- Interacts and works closely with Finance and Technical Accounting department to coordinate and ensure a correct and timely execution of all accounting processes and reporting related to Leasing and provide additional support when required to Fixed Assets as well.
- Additionally, ensures that all transactions are duly supported and provides counsel in terms of complex accounting transactions.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Accounting Cycle and Financial Statements- Coordinate and ensure timely analysis over Real Estate monthly updates and Fleet quarterly modifications.-
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP and local accounting principles ASC842 and IFRS16. Accountable for evaluating and providing guidance regarding complex accounting transactions.-
- Work closely with local contacts and Global Approvers to ensure that all the leasing accounting processes and steps are being duly performed and in compliance with the internal deadlines.-
- Proactively identify, rectify and follow-up errors and causes of accounting issues while managing the quality and development of financial statements, systems, process, and databases.- Internal Controls and Compliance- Ensure that reconciliations for the locally controlled accounts under his/her responsibility are prepared on a monthly basis according to corporate guidelines.-
- Review journal entries to confirm they are adequately supported and that the supporting documentation is duly organized and stored.-
- Provide assistance in the preparation of required information for internal/external audits, tax filings and/or reports required by governmental authorities, in a timely manner. Participate in the implementation of the remediation plans proposed for audit observations.-
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP and local accounting principles, as applicable and ensure robust compliance environment with internal controls, accounting policies/procedures and international/local regulations (such as SOX)- Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
- Minimum 4+ years of related accounting experience required, at least 2 in senior positions.-
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of US GAAP ASC842 and IFRS16-
- Exposure to US and local statutory requirements as well as SOX or similar compliance requirements.-
- Experience in Nakisa is highly recommended but not mandatory.-
- Experience in SAP.-
- Proficiency in Excel, working with high data volume.-
- Experience in a multinational and shared services experience.-
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with strategic thinking capabilities and attention to detail-
- Solid understanding of accounting and internal controls processes-
- Ability to multi-task and meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activities-
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management (both verbally and in writing)-
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment-
- Advance level in Business/Accounting English (required).- We Offer:
