What You Will Achieve

You will be part of Pfizer’s finance market operations team and have responsibilities at the corporate, division and local levels. Your accounting skills will help in the analysis of financial information and preparing financial reports. You will maintain and oversee the accounts and financial records of the company. You will verify this data for accuracy and prepare reports and reviews base on it. You will be responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

As a Senior Accountant, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will make it easy to manage difficult issues and help in establishing consensus between teams.

How You Will Achieve It

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for the analysis and review of the financial figures for the Legal entities within the Central America and Caribbean region. Some of the main responsibilities are:
- Responsible for the US GAAP and Statutory financials, ensuring timely and accurate submission in coordination with R2R teams in accordance with Global Calendar.- Financial information: Perform review of the GL accounts to maintain the accuracy of the financial statements.- Deeply understanding of revenue recognition policies and follow up on Paxlovid and Comirnaty activities and controls.- Finance Policies, Controls and SOPs. Ensure the timely and proper execution of adequate internal controls.- Legal, accounting and tax obligation compliance: Support local compliance activities in coordination with Indirect Tax, Legal, Treasury and Indirect Tax teams among others.- Comply and coordinate internal and external audit requirements (Financial, corporate and PROCOMER)- Perform analysis for their assigned LE’s, providing commentary on specific Balance Sheet fluctuation and prioritizing high risk major accounts; responsible for any follow up of open items until resolution.- Independently manages formal relationship with key internal stakeholders and colleagues of diverse backgrounds, including different departments, cultures, business units and countries.- Lead the conversation to positively impact DSO trend.- Ad-hoc support on transformational Projects (spin offs, divestitures, acquisitions, etc.)

**Qualifications**:
Must-Have
- Background in Finance or Accounting, Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
- At least 5 years of working experience in general accounting.
- Business English language skills (written and verbal)
- Strong Knowledge of US GAAP and Local (Fiscal) accounting
- Have a strong work ethic and high integrity, excellent judgment, and the ability to work with information of a confidential and sensitive nature.
- Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and operations colleagues in all applicable Pfizer Finance and business functional areas.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) required.
- Proficiency in Excel and in the reconciliation of data.
- SAP ERP system experience preferred.
