**Android Mobile Developer**
- 100% Remote SENIOR FULL-TIME $ 4.000

An Android Mobile Developer at can expect to work on multiple projects, work with a cross-functional team, and are transparent about time and tasks to help clients understand the progress of their projects.

Job Requirements

**Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the design, development, and support of Android mobile native and web apps with Kotlin, Android System WebViews, JSON, and Node JS.
- Work closely with UX designers to implement user experiences on ViaPaths custom tablets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX, Backend, Android, Web, Cloud, Product Management, and Platform Engineering.
- Perform research tasks aimed at expanding the features we can offer on our platform.
- Provide technical documentation for new code written and features completed.
- Quickly learn new technologies and patterns and lead new designs and solutions.
- Ability to build custom Android OS based off the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) is a plus.

**Job Requirements**
- Great English proficiency (written and spoken) B2+.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a passion for mobile technologies and innovations.
- Impeccable punctuality (schedules are flexible, but being in time for stand-ups is crucial).
- Android app and SDK software development experience with Java, Kotlin, and Android System WebViews.
- Experience integrating apps with REST APIs and JSON payloads and responses.
- Experience with Frameworks/Libraries: ExoPlayer, AndroidX/Jetpack, Dagger, etc.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting Android apps using ADB, logcat, and related tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methods like Jira and Bitbucket.
- Self-confidence, flexibility, and a result-driven attitude.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to help team members and provide excellent customer service to clients.

**Nice to have**
- Experience developing video and audio apps, and handling media codecs
- NodeJS/TypeScript or Ruby on Rails Application/API development experience
- Experience developing cross-platform apps using React Native or web apps using React
- Android NDK software development experience
- Experience with mobile app test automation

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with a flexible core hours policy to accommodate early birds and night owls. We also have the flexibility to work from anywhere.

**Salary**: Up to ₡2,212,000.00 per month
