We’re searching for a Staff Accountant, reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting who will assist with month-end closing and day-to-day operations of revenue accounting and accounts receivable.
**Responsibilities**:
- Record journal entries for accounts receivable and revenue recognition transactions
- Prepare accounts receivable account reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Conduct transaction level testing for accounts receivable and revenue
- Assist with financial audits including drafting memos, preparing account schedules, and other supporting documentation
- Work closely with the data analytics team to build reports to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable close process
- Monitor accounts receivable collections and delinquency rates
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for the management team
- Assist with accounting policies and procedures documentation
- Prepare and/or review GAAP technical documentation
- Assist in design, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of internal controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and Company policies & procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferred
- CPA, preferred
- Public accounting experience, preferred
- Must be able to efficiently and independently manage projects and issues
- Excellent written, proofreading, and verbal communication skills
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to retain and protect confidential material
