Job Summary

The person hired for the position of IT Data Analytics Sr. Business Analyst will help provide Data Analytics solutions for Global Portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Drive global reporting development in the Data Analytics Global Portfolio
- Responsible for understanding Functional requirements/design and reviewing technical design
- Work with developers to estimate work and develop solutions
- Implement Data Analytics development standards.
- Data Quality Assurance: Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or anomalies.
- Provide Support for Data Analytics activities including completing key projects, activities, and tasks to ensure the success of the Data Analytics day-to-day operations
- Data Modeling: Understanding the design data models that align with business requirements and support efficient data retrieval and analysis. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across different data sources
- Data Analysis: Utilize SQL queries and data analysis techniques to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources, including data warehouses. Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business decision-making.
- Work with Developers to provide Data Analytics Solution demo to Product Owner
- Partner with DA Security team to implement data security in DA Solutions
- Establish and maintain a healthy working relationship with key Product partners including Product Owners, Security/IDM, Scrum Masters and Data Analytics Platform Owners
- Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
- Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards

General Qualifications/Experience:

- IT Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution or proven experience
- 3 years of IT Analyst or Business Analyst experience
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data analysis and SQL.
- Experience working with data warehouses and familiarity with data modeling concepts
- Strong organization skills
- Experience working with all business users’ levels
- Must be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task is inherent in the job responsibilities
- Ability to team working is inherent in the job responsibilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Must be able to travel internationally if needed
- Self-motivated and independent

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Multiple Back end platforms experience: Snowflake
- Desire for continuous improvement
