The Product Safety and Complianceteams ensure Amazon transactions satisfy legal and safety requirements in accordance with guidelines set by regulatory bodies. The core task of Product Safety and Compliance Operations (PSC-Ops) is classification of ASINs through several methods; including Rule Writing, Manually reviewing each ASIN and using Customer feedback as a source of input for programs like Product and Food Safety, as well as ensuring transactions meet required documentation for trade purposes.

Our department guarantees that Amazon sells legally compliant products that are safe for customers, storage and transportation. We coordinate the identification of potential risks of the items offered in the Amazon Catalog, and that appropriate actions are taken to eliminate any safety hazards for customers. This covers both local, international and internal policies in place.

Product Safety and Compliance Operations (PSC-Ops) is part of the Trustworthy Shopping Experience organization within Amazon. PSC-Ops ensures that Amazon transactions satisfy legal and safety requirements in compliance with guidelines set by regulatory bodies. The team is designed to ensure Amazon is compliant in the online retail space. The team’s primary role is to provide operational services to ensure compliance in different product safety regulations across the different regions, including: NA, LATAM, and EMEA Marketplaces.

This is not a virtual position. Due to the current situation caused by COVID-19, if selected for this role, all necessary equipment will be sent for you to work from home. However, once our company provides clearance, you will be required to continue working from our SJO16 building, located in the America Free Zone (AFZ), Cariari, Heredia.

Key job responsibilities
- Work closely with business managers and stakeholders to understand business issues and recommend solutions to ensure questions are properly answered.
- Understand trends related to Amazon business and recommend strategies to stakeholders to help drive business growth. Reporting of key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines. Respond with urgency to high priority requests from senior business leaders.
- Identify, develop, manage, and execute analysis to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the direction of the business.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.
- University bachelor's degree completed in quantitative/IT field.
- Experience with Lamda, Quicksight tools.
- Experience in peer coaching, mentoring and/or training.
- Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green belt.
