**Developer, Travel Automation**
- Full-time, (home)based in Costa Rica_

In this role, you will develop and maintain low to medium complexity level requests to support BCD, customer, & industry requirements, increase agent productivity and reduce operating costs. To do this, you will adhere to department processes and best practices to ensure coding consistency. You will also analyze current programs to provide enhancements for strategic projects.

**A snapshot of this opportunity**
- Receive written requirements via BCD Travel’s help desk. Follow department procedures to quickly and accurately program request in BCD Travel’s tool
- Develop ‘scope of work’ including estimate level of effort and delivery date for requests
- Program requirements per department standards and best practices
- Program and customize routines for automation initiatives
- Provide a proactive and consultative approach to development; design solutions that increase agent productivity, decrease errors and reduce GDS hits
- Create and enhance existing automation library including testing and posting of new versions
- Collaborate with other technology teams and/or suppliers to develop best practices and technology solutions

**How you can set yourself apart**
- Visual Basic programming experience
- Working knowledge of web services and AWS technologies
- Working knowledge of database integrations to products, SQL and.NET technologies
- Working knowledge of 1 GDS technologies: Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre
- Strong analytical, problem solving and process reengineering skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use and communicate in English as the primary language
- Experience in travel reservations and process
- Travel Industry, Travel agent or operations experience is a plus
