Fault Isolation Engineer

In this position, you will be performing Fault Isolation and Failure Analysis. The goal is to characterize and isolate failure from the tester/system signature down to a single failing node or transistor, employing a wide array of DFx (including Scan/ATPG) and test tools, complemented with your knowledge of computer architecture, logic, circuit/VLSI, process, and device physics..
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing fault isolation and failure analysis to determine the root cause of failures utilizing various tools and techniques such as ATE testing, DFx software tools, optical probing, logic/circuit simulation, and emulation, probing, and layout study.
- Be involved in development work to ensure fault isolation capability and readiness to support the next generation of products.
- Collaboration and remote analysis with cross-site teams are required.
- Working directly with internal customers to help solve and determine the root cause of various complex issues.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with: failure analysis, debug, or relevant semiconductor/manufacturing area.
- Intermediate English level
- Costa Rican unrestricted work permit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Programming in Unix and Windows, including Perl/TCL, Python, and C or Visual Basic.
- Knowledge of Design for Test features.
- Knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, assembly, and test.
- Knowledge of logic and VLSI design with exposure to Verilog and VCS.
- Experience with ATE Testers and/or optical probers is a major plus.
- Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. **In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.**
