ROLE SUMMARY

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The AWS Data Engineering role will work within the FinOps product domain within DHS. This role will be responsible for the engineering aspects associated with the FinOps data lake, integrations, ETL, and visualization aspects of the core FinOps Product.
- Maintain and enhance existing FinOps data lake to streamline FinOps related metrics to consumers.
- Knowledge of serverless ETL processing leveraging AWS Glue, Python and SQL based transformations
- Enhance existing data model for new data sources to improve visibility to both internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Engineering team members on data and product enhancements.
- Commit to ongoing learning and professional development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, with experience utilizing cloud technologies.
- 3+ years of cloud-specific experience with Amazon Web Services; demonstrated experience with AWS
- Experience with AWS S3, Glue, and Redshift
- Experience with visualization tools such as AWS Quicksight
- Experience with AWS cost and usage reporting capabilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and constraints
- Ability to use creative thinking and advanced problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira is desired.
- Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP, such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and security standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira is desired.
