**Quality Assurance Engineer I, Enterprise Systems**
at Smartsheet | San Jose, Costa Rica

The Enterprise Systems team manages the development, use, and support of Enterprise Applications at Smartsheet. We are looking for an experienced **QA Engineer I** who understands how to interpret requirements, write and perform testing plans for our enterprise systems. You can identify edge cases, anticipate problem areas and communicate with development teams clearly and effectively. You have an enthusiasm to dig into technical features, issues and specifications. We are looking for someone who understands both business and technology in a SaaS environment.

This role reports to the Manager, Quality Assurance who is based in the US. This position can be based out of Smartsheet's office in San José, or remotely from any location within Costa Rica.

**You Will**:

- Learn and develop expertise in new and assigned test areas
- Write and maintain test scripts for primary business processes
- Develop and validate test cases on an ongoing basis
- Work with Lead Business Systems Developer to improve and monitor core integration processes
- Manage and prioritize the execution and results of manual and automated test efforts.
- Plan, write and update relevant QA documentation
- Write and perform test scripts for a variety of software systems, from SaaS to Cloud-based serverless functions.
- Work with development and PMO counterparts
- Other duties as assigned

**You Have**:

- 2+ years of software test experience
- 1+ year in a SDET role
- BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Black box testing experience required, familiarity with automated test suites (Selenium and TestNG)
- Creativity and initiative for improving product test coverage and effectiveness
- Skills in diagnosing and solving complex problems
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and test approaches
- Front-end or back-end web service testing
- Working knowledge of browser developer tools and plug-ins
