Job Description
Fragomen, an AMLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Development Operations team. The Software Engineer will perform support focused development consisting of SQL / Database development, backend development in C# and some VB.Net, as well as frontend development in Angular and ASP.Net. Full stack development experience with frontend and backend is nice to have while SQL skills are required.
This role will work hybrid based out of our San Jose, Costa Rica office.
How you will make a difference as a Software Engineer with Fragomen:
- Read, write, and update SQL stored procedures, update scripts, views, and other database related work
- Work with team lead to resolve high priority issues
- Perform thorough yet fair peer code reviews
- Understand and internalize business needs and use this knowledge to help troubleshoot and triage support issues
- Build strong relationships across teams and departments to help facilitate communication and issue resolution
- Work in a C#/.NET environment on backend and frontend in addition to database development in SQL
Let’s talk if you have the following qualifications and experience:
- 3 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Practiced SQL / Database skills with knowledge of industry best practices
- Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience with common web UI platforms, frameworks, and toolkits
- A collaborative spirit and a demonstrated ability to work well with others
- A willingness to work across team and department
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills in English
- Ability to work directly with (internal) users / stakeholders as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred
