Position summary:
The Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for activities related to analysis, development and setting of credit limits for customers. They will contribute to the overall management of credit risk, recommending allowances for doubtful accounts, performing analysis and financial review of high risk strategic customers and onsite visits, and providing risk reporting, in Stryker’s newly created Costa Rica Shared Service Center.
This is a Shared Services role related to standing up the Finance One optimization program.

**What you will do**:
**Essential duties & responsibilities**:
- Evaluating customer credit data and financial statements, in order to determine the appropriate level of credit for their account. Assure controls and adherence to the Stryker Credit Policy
- Review information in third party (Experian, Dun + Bradstreet) databases and use information to update customer master records
- Perform both new account, ad-hoc and periodic review of customer credit limits
- Review orders on ‘credit hold’ and evaluate criteria for release decisions
- Review customer credit performance in detail and aggregate to assist with preparation of the bad-debt provisions
- Review proposals of balance write offs
- Maintain quality relationships with sales and customer service teams to assist with gathering information on credit decisions
- Work with other Invoice to Cash teams to help resolve differences and improve processes
- Maintains documentation to support A/R transactions and facilitate the efficient review and audit of books and records
- Comply with all internal control procedures to ensure accurate financial records.
- Performs other related work as assigned by management
**What you need**:
**Education & special trainings**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- MS Office Suite
- Fluent spoken and written English. Any other language is a plus
- Oracle and SAP systems knowledge are a big plus
**Qualifications & experience**:
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems
**Physical & mental requirements**:
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-task
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively
- Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
