Job Summary:
The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting transactions and are processed efficiently and effectively, in accordance with established service levels and other contractual requirements. The individual will be responsible for related tasks associated with accounting transactions to journals, ledgers and other records. Also will be responsible for the balance sheet reconciliations, will work directly with the Senior Accountant managing and resolving complex issues as well as following up on open items for the accounts assigned.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accounting Transaction Processing
- Prepare, process, and verify bank deposits, journal entries and accounting reports.
- Verify and reconcile accounts, such as petty cash, cash clearing, and utility billings.
- Verify and reconcile accounts receivable transactions, such as utility payments, licensing and permit fees and fines.
- Prepare, verify and reconcile accounting transactions, such as purchase requisitions, invoices, and fixed assets.
- Enter financial data into appropriate accounting and computer systems.
- Maintain records and files associated with various business transactions.
- May perform back-up duties for other positions within the work group.
- Prepare and review documentation to support internal and external audits, as required.
- Work with the Quality Audit Team to increase performance and efficiency of BPO operations.

Skills and Experience:

- Education & Language Command
- Student of a Bachelor's degree required in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required (written and spoken)
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting positions, with experience in accounting operations in a multi-national Shared Services and/or BPO operation.
- Experience with US or Latin American-based Telecommunications, Consumer Products, Wholesale or Retail Distribution businesses is a plus
- Specific job knowledge and skills critical to do the job
- Oracle or SAP, or other Tier 1 ERP systems.
- Excel: formulas, formatting, pivot tables, etc.
- Understanding off all different areas around general accounting
- Accounts payables and Accounts receivables
- Experience working with US Tax - VAT, Sales and Use Tax desirable
