**PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Detailed understanding of the function and configuration of Cisco networking equipment
- Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers in a large WAN and SDWAN environments
- Administering and configuring layer 2 and layer 3 Cisco networks
- Operational knowledge of VLANs, spanning tree, BGP and EIGRP
- Experience with network monitoring tools. Ability to analyze data and deliver metrics associated with utilization, capacity and functional operation of the network
- Ability to comprehend and create complex network maps and drawings in standard design tools (i.e. Visio)
- Functional understanding of DNS, DHCP and related network services
- Understanding of IP addressing including subnetting and supernetting
- Operational understanding of different media and cable types
- Experience working from a ticketing system
- Provide proactive recognition and correction of network related problems
- Provide firewall and IPSEC support for business-to-business encryption domains.
- Provide support to customers and staff during new WAN or datacenter installations
- Provide the coordination of repair and restoral efforts of various service providers, including monitoring services, telecommunication providers and ISPs.
- Work with various customer and support groups in diagnosing service-related problems
- Ability to perform maintenance activities outside of normal business hours

**EDUCATION/LANGUAGE**
Associates degree in CS, MIS or related technology/engineering discipline preferred or equivalent experience required
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent experience required

**EXPERIENCE / SKILLS**
- 3 or more years working with Cisco routing and switching devices
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP (preferred) or equivalent work experience
- Good communications skills

Experience with large WAN and datacenter environments
- Effective communication skills. Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)
- Other (non-English) language skills an advantage.
