First Factory is looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our team.

A Compliance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that an organization operates in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This position involves assessing, implementing, and monitoring processes to maintain compliance and minimize risk across various aspects of the company's operations.

The Compliance Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, engineering, quality assurance, and management, to develop and execute compliance strategies effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Compliance Assessment:

- Conduct thorough reviews of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies to identify areas of non-compliance and potential risks within the organization.

Compliance Implementation:

- Develop and implement compliance programs and initiatives tailored to the company's specific needs and applicable regulations. This may include developing policies, procedures, and training materials.

Regulatory Monitoring:

- Stay abreast of updates and changes in relevant laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the organization's operations. Propose necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Risk Management:

- Identify, analyze, and prioritize risks related to compliance issues. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation plans and ensure appropriate controls are in place.

Auditing and Reporting:

- Conduct periodic compliance audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the compliance program.
- Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting areas for improvement and progress toward compliance goals.

Training and Education:

- Provide training sessions to employees and stakeholders on compliance-related topics, raising awareness and promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Incident Response:

- Lead investigations into potential compliance breaches or incidents, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate corrective actions are taken.

Vendor and Supplier Compliance:

- Evaluate and monitor compliance of external partners, vendors, and suppliers to ensure they meet the organization's standards and regulatory requirements.

Data Privacy and Security:

- Collaborate with data protection officers to ensure compliance with data privacy laws and implement security measures to safeguard sensitive information.

Documentation and Records Management:

- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to compliance activities, facilitating easy retrieval for audits and regulatory inquiries
- Proven experience in compliance management, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards applicable to the organization's industry (e.g., ISO, FDA, FCC, OSHA).
- Excellent analytical skills to assess complex regulations and translate them into actionable compliance strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and articulate compliance requirements clearly.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in compliance assessments and reporting.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulatory landscapes and implement compliance initiatives accordingly.
- Familiarity with compliance software and tools is a plus
