So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you. **Role Summary**: **What you'll get to do**: - Build and maintain search functionalities to help users find more accurate and relevant search results. - Develop, configure and optimize the query pipelines and associated algorithms for better search results and its ranking. - Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. And come up with good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for acquiring scalable solutions. - Communicate and collaborate with team members within the Scrum framework to meet sprint planning objectives. - Hold yourself accountable for the committed tasks (end-to-end) that require close collaboration with internal tech leads, product managers, and external team members. - Communicate with others clearly and precisely (verbally and written) within the Scrum framework to meet the sprint objectives. **Must-have Qualifications**: - 2+ years hands-on coding experience in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks (React.js, node.js) - Experience in the design, construction and implementation of highly scalable REST APIs - Good knowledge of computer science fundamentals e.g. data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. - Willingness to be on a constant learning journey and continuously go above and beyond the comfort zone. - Strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills, specifically a proven ability to effectively work with others within a dynamic environment - Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum and/or Kanban **Nice-to-have Qualifications**: - 2+ years of hands-on experience with configuring, scaling and troubleshooting search engine technologies (Lucidworks Fusion and/or open source search engines like Solr Lucene or Elasticsearch). - Previous experience working on search backends or improving search user experience (e,g.,through relevance, recommendations, or question answering) - Good knowledge of search results algorithms for promotion, faceted searches, boosting query, and filter queries. **Education**: - BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or related field **Splunk is an Equal Opportunity Employer**: At Splunk, we believe creating a culture of belonging isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s also the smart thing.
