SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Site Security Officer (SSO) for countries in Central America and Caribbean (CAC) where Pfizer personnel and operations are present.
Areas of Focus:
The CAC SSO Collaborates with GS Lead for LAC and CAC Management in the Commercial Business, Global Financial Services, and Global Logistics.
The CAC SSO Supports GS Lead for LAC in the development, revision, and implementation of LAC Security Strategy as applicable to CAC.
Monitors CAC Pfizer locations attainment with all Pfizer security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures at all facilities to achieve continuous improvement of security operations to include:
Supports the GS Lead for LAC as needed the Global Asset Protection assessments in the CAC region.
Coordinates and supports the development of GAP findings action plans at Pfizer and third party locations with SSAs or third party Security representatives to address findings, and achieve continuous improvement through innovative solutions.
Maintains a cooperative working relationship with CAC countries municipal, and national law enforcement officials as well as needed government agencies where Pfizer personnel, facilities, and third parties operate.
The CAC SSO Supports CAC Crisis Management Team.
The CAC SSO Supports as requested investigations in the CAC region.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
**Education**:
o Bachelor Degree in security management, business or related field.
**Experience**:
o At least ten years of experience in security gained through, roles of increasing responsibility which demonstrated leadership abilities, and vast knowledge of Pfizer Global Minimum Security Requirements
o Knowledge of guard force management, budget, security risk assessment process, physical security, and electronic security.
o Ability to develop, implement, and sustain security procedures and guidelines.
o Knowledge of electronic investigative techniques, and access/video forensic techniques.
o Knowledge of Pfizer Minimum Security System Specifications.
o Knowledge and experience with Corporate Information Security Program.
o Knowledge and skills of security requirements established in government programs applicable to the CAC region.

The SSO for CAC is responsible for leading the Pfizer Global Security program in the CAC Region by providing direct support to locations where Pfizer personnel, facilities, and third party operates to ensure that security-related activities are completed and maintained, such as security management, security risk assessments, and physical security. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring electronic security systems, such as access control, alarms, video surveillance systems are in place and operational. The incumbent is also responsible for the supervision of scheduled security activities, protection of executives as requested by Global Security, and liaison with law enforcement in the CAC Region. The CAC SSO is an integral team member of the CAC Crisis Management Team and provides supports during countries crisis management coordination, preparation, and actual events. Furthermore, the CAC SSO provides support to ensure completion of Security Inspection Program Profiles (SIPP) at each location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The crucial functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as the Site Security Officer (SSO) for CAC Region.
- Provides guidance to support CAC Management and location SSAs to achieve attainment with Pfizer policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Reviews recommend and conduct proactive security awareness training/programs for collaborators.
- Ensures location based Security procedures are current and are in compliance with applicable Pfizer requirements.
- Ensures security operations center, equipment and tools meet operational needs and fosters the collaboration of security integrators and technicians to maintain systems functional integrity.
- Ensures attainment with minimum requirements embedded in Pfizer Global Minimum Security Requirements (MSRs), Minimum Security Systems Specifications, Security Information Protection Program, and Conveyance Product Care Requirements.
- Ensures security compliance with government programs as applicable in the CAC Region.
- Complies with Global Security ARGOS Reporting Requirements, to include among other things maintaining site profile and reporting of special incidents.
- Works with country management and the GSPOC to develop security processes to improve the efficiency of the security program.
