DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:
The Cloud Administrator job responsibility is to proactively monitor and maintain Windows and Cloud based system for Auxis’ customers using best practices processes and methodology. Additionally, the resource is responsible for issue resolution, request fulfillment and capacity planning of the Windows and Cloud solutions.

DevOps team member closely works with product, engineering, support, and operations teams to optimize software delivery and improve resiliency of our SaaS cloud platform. This position combines technical acumen with refined analytical skills to design, build, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and available SaaS environments.

Hardware/Software Requirements:

- 2+ years Azure DevOps
- 5+ years Windows Server 2012/2016+
- 3+ years SQL Server 2012/2014/2016+ (+ANSI SQL)
- 3+ years IIS 7.0-10
- 2+ years PowerShell
- 2+ years GitHub, Bitbucket
- 2+ years CI/CD-Bamboo / Jenkins
- 2+ years Kubernetes
- 2+ years Docker
- 2+ Terraform Software
- 2+ years ASP.Net MVC

General Windows Administration and support
- Proactive maintenance
- Monitoring and reporting of services and logs
- Troubleshooting and resolution of outages and problems with the devices and/or operating system
- Daily, Weekly and monthly reporting of system health
- Plan, test and execution of software and code upgrades (as required and agreed)
- Security Patching management
- Creation of necessary scripting to properly monitor and manage environments

Clouds based systems Administration:

- 3+ years in DevOps teams
- Continuous optimization of CI/CD pipeline to increase automation, delivery velocity, repeatability, and resiliency benchmarks
- Manage code repositories
- Make recommendations to the Engineering and Database teams for process improvements to ensure product stability and performance
- Standardize industry standard tools/processes for automation across hyperscale
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Design, build and administer Dev, Test and Production environments
- Implement secure development and tools/process hardening to improve security and compliance standards
- Document the design & architecture and mentor and train team members
- General Management of Azure and AWS environment
- Design & deploy Azure and AWS components
- Perform code deployments as part of the Release Management Process
- Monitoring of Logs and system performance
- Enhancement of performance
- Troubleshooting problems
- Automate operational tasks such deployments, backups, reporting and alerts among others
- Create, change, and improve infrastructure through Terraform API codification and automation management
- Develop, maintain and support third party services such code repositories, Web Application firewalls, file integrity solutions, intrusion detection systems among others

Monitoring Tool Implementation and Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain system databases
- Daily checks on persistent alerts
- Work with engineers or Service Delivery managers on keeping systems fully operational
- Ensuring backups are done according to policies
- General administration (adding nodes, removing nodes, changing thresholds, creating device groups, creating user alerting and maintain it)
- Creating new clients

Security Monitoring and Management
- Security and compliance frameworks (SOC2)
- Troubleshooting of Security alerts from Intrusion Detection Systems, File Integrity Monitoring, Vulnerability Scanning, among others

Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems is a plus
- 4+ years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud Services
- Windows System expert
- Strong experience in Cloud Automation toolsets
- Strong troubleshooting and deployment skills
- Strong business knowledge and interpersonal skills
