**Systems/Dev-ops Engineer role will work primarily in GCP with Linux and Windows servers, working together with dev-ops and other groups to ensure security vulnerabilities and monitoring are up to date. They will work to continuously improve labels and tags to ensure monitoring and budget dashboards are organized properly along with managing IAM roles and privileges for people and service accounts.**
- Collaborate with development team to define architecture, optimize performance, and right size environments.
- Create, maintain and update IAM privileges and groups in GCP and AWS
- Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with delivering DevOps processes and procedures.
- Author, maintain and update labels/tags for infrastructure used for Observability and budgeting
- Collaborate with other departments to continuously monitor, visualize, and improve budget
**Qualifications**:
- Google Cloud and AWS experience
- Linux Administrator
- Record of accomplishment using Cloud native technologies.
- Experience using and implementing DataDog Monitoring (or similar) and Observability.
- Ability to be on-call in a rotation process with team members (paid) a plus
- Experience in working with event-driven or microservices architectures a plus
- Experience deploying and configuring Kafka a plus
- Experience with DNS and networking a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
- **The key competencies for this position include the following: -**:
- knowledge and experience with typical flavors of Linux and all aspects of OS/Application management and tuning, including troubleshooting OS and Application-level issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills, work effectively with clients, vendors, peers and business/IT management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to stay current on trends and development within functional area of experience along with the industry.
- Willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and motivation to succeed and grow.
- Must demonstrate accountability, sound decision making, analytical thoroughness, clear and concise communications
