We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This position can be located near our corporate offices in Costa Rica. Remote is also considered but must be near enough for occasional travel to one of the offices.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design and implement full-stack enterprise software systems in an agile scrum environment.
- Lead a team to develop server-side components.
- Perform code-review for peer developers in the team.
- Assist with, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues.
- Help inform and guide development best practices within the engineering team.

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5 - 8 years of experience with Java development.
- Experience upgrading Log4j, Java, and third-party libraries in a product.
- Experience in migrating monolithic projects to AWS.
- Knowledge of Openldap, LDAP is desired.
- Knowledge on Webmin, Cockpit or any other web administration packages for Linux is a bonus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers.
