Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sewer Technician to join our team at Edwards Lifesciences. As a Sewer Technician, you will be responsible for applying your sewing skills and dexterity to assemble medical devices in a clean room environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use specialized tools, such as needles, scissors, and forceps, to perform assigned steps in the sewing assembly of valves.
  • Verify completed steps against specifications and perform successive checks on steps completed by colleagues.
  • Review and follow established work instructions and adhere to SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records.
  • Arrive on time, maintain regular attendance, and work a full 8-hour or longer work period.
  • Perform general work area housekeeping and other incidental duties as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous sewing, GMP, clean room, and medical device experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to read, interpret, and comprehend policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision.
Additional Skills
  • Successful completion of ongoing job training of assembly process steps.
  • Adherence to all company rules and requirements, including pandemic protocols and Environmental Health & Safety rules.
