The Role

This is a key position working out of our Costa Rica - Alajuela location in the Electrophysiology Division. Our EP business advances the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

As the Manufacturing Operations Lead, you will oversee production teams to deliver business results and expectations on a day-to-day basis for one or more production areas. This requires training in human resources/people skills, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.

Your Responsibilities

You will ensure that standard production processes are maintained and safety, quality, and production volumes are met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership to production teams.
  • Scheduling personnel, evaluating discipline, coaching, selection, and training staff.
  • Participating in compliance routines related to internal and external regulatory requirements (FDA, TUV, etc.).
  • Reporting quality issues immediately and being involved in their investigation and solution.
  • Executing plans to accomplish production goals, including productivity indicators, schedule adherence, quality, cost, and service while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Tabulating reports to communicate production progress, accomplishments, and issues on a daily basis.
  • Coordinating daily meetings with staff and peers to discuss issues and determine future schedules.
  • Interpreting daily production metrics and ensuring all processes comply with standard procedures.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as benefits such as career development opportunities, a dynamic work environment, and a comprehensive compensation package.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years supervisory experience, preferably in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or electronic industry.
  • Basic English level.
  • Computer skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing systems used to collect data and control/monitor processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and quality systems, such as FDA and MDD.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and areas.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a similar field, experience leading teams, and knowledge of Costa Rica laws applicable to direct labor operators.
