As a key member of our Customer Centric Engineering team at ActiveCampaign, you will play a pivotal role in driving change that enhances the customer experience and solving those enhancements within our platform. You will collaborate closely with internal groups to ensure seamless integration and efficient problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with Product Support Specialists to improve their knowledge and working as an interlink between the CX org, Site Reliability, and our Product Teams to build and maintain internal and external custom tools that enhance the efficiency of support operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Produce quality, tested code, and advocate for coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug large-scale systems (user base of 50K+).
• Validate designs by building performance and load-testing tools.
• Measure, optimize, and re-architect production systems.
• Work cross-functionally to design services and APIs that enable feature work across our engineering organization.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Document architectural technical decisions.

**Technical Environment:**

Our team utilizes a range of technologies, including object-oriented languages such as PHP, Python, Java, and Go, as well as front-end languages like JavaScript, React, and HTML. We also work with data stores like MySQL DB, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB, and develop SaaS systems using REST APIs, micro-services on Kubernetes, and integrations with 3rd party software. Additionally, we leverage tooling such as Gitlab, Vault, and Jira, and other services like Kafka and AWS services.

**Requirements:**

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Technical degree or related experience in a software engineering role.
• Proficient working ability in 1-2 of the languages and technologies listed in the Technical environment section.
• Interest and experience in mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience creating test plans, writing automated test suites, or implementing an automated test framework.
• Proficiency in a given technology, domain, or system, to the point of independent delivery.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Ability to participate in the team's on-call rotation as a service owner.
