Environmental Ambassador

About the Role:

The Environmental Ambassador will lead programs for kids, youth, adults, families, and group activities, such as snorkeling, kayaking, underwater photography and videography, botanic park tours, sustainable living lessons, arts & crafts, etc.

Responsibilities include explaining and promoting the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members, observing activity in the recreational facility and responding appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency, and being aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and informing supervisor/manager.

Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate knowledge of local and cultural heritage, prepare for each activity, ensuring that the co-naturalist or attendant is also prepared with any necessary materials, and guiding the group at all times. The Environmental Ambassador will also ensure operation of the Ambassadors of the Environment program in relation to curriculum preparation and production for each activity.
