Culinary Artist

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Artist to join our team as a Food Preparation Specialist at the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food according to recipes and presentation standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Prepare special meals or substitute items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.

• Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions.

• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, ensuring timely preparation and presentation.

• Maintain accurate food logs, monitoring the quality and quantity of prepared food.

• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Inform the Chef of excess food items to utilize in daily specials, promoting creativity and menu variety.

• Update Food & Beverage service staff on menu specials and out-of-stock items, ensuring a smooth guest experience.

• Ensure the quality of food items, adhering to company standards and presentation expectations.

• Collaborate with the Chef to prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.

• Participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

• Support the development of new recipes and menus, contributing to the hotel's culinary excellence.
