The Team:
Our Accounting team is composed of dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing excellent service to our clients. As an Accounting Analyst, you will be working closely with the team to meet our growing needs in Costa Rica.
Your Role:

Main Responsibilities:

  • \
    \
  • Participate actively in month-end and year-end closing activities including preparation of journal entries, gathering information, producing documentation to support transactions and resolve inquiries received from Countries, Business Units and/or Corporate.\
    \
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of low to medium complexity GL accounts in accordance with established company policies and procedures.\
    \
  • Research variances and prepare adjustments.\
    \
  • E nsure that all reconciling items are researched and resolved on time.\
    \
  • Review reconciliations of low and medium priority.\
    \
  • Prepare audit schedules received from Corporate Team.\
    \
  • Interact and communicate extensively with all internal customers (Corporate team, Business Units, among others).\
    \
  • Participate in the BU Liaison program.\
    \
  • Support other divisions/cost centers.\
    \
  • Work on special projects as needed.\

Qualifications and Skills:

Requirements:

  • \
    \
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting: journal entries, account reconciliation, month-end and year-end close process; experience in revenue recognition activities is strongly preferred.\
    \
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.\
    \
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.\
    \
  • Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).\
    \
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.\
    \
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\
    \
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight time frames.\
    \
  • Team oriented with a positive attitude.\
    \
  • Highly deadline driven with the ability to demonstrate ownership of the tasks assigned.\
    \
  • Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional client service orientation.\
    \
  • Demonstrated record of process improvements and desire to implement best practices.\
    \
  • Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers.\
    \
  • Must be able to clear the company's pre-employment screening.\
