About the Role:

This is a senior-level position that requires strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for data management. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including high availability configurations, replication, multi-site data warehousing, summarization, maintenance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance relational databases for service delivery, transaction, and billing data
  • Collaborate with development teams and DBAs on database services, data stores, stored procedures, and replication
  • Manage security and data access methods to ensure services are properly controlled, monitored, and audited
  • Develop maintenance and administration procedures for database systems using metrics for optimal performance
  • Establish summarized and scalable data schema for historical reporting and near-real-time data feeds
  • Create scripts for data management and system administration
  • Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to scale data infrastructure for future growth
  • Investigate performance anomalies and perform root cause analysis for databases and interfaces

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of data relationships, normalization, and summarization
  • Experience in SSIS or similar ETL tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge in data warehousing, scalability, server clustering, replication, service brokerage, and HA/DR
  • In-depth knowledge of Transact-SQL and XML required, experience in C# preferred
  • Proven ability to manage projects through their entire software development life cycle
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible and willing to support a 24x7 environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail
  • Multitasking and system administration skills
  • Knowledge of contact centers is a plus
